Like I mentioned in my previous post, my sister Kelly is home for a few days to sell some of her jewelry and to hang out with her friends and family.
Unfortunately I have to work most of the days that she is here, but I was able to scoot home on Friday night and stay all day Saturday with her and my mom and dad. As convenient timing would have it, her 30th birthday was Friday (the 13th, spooky eh?) so I got to celebrate with her and her friends by a movie and birthday dessert at Red Robin.
Saturday marked ‘family day’ – since it was the only time that my mom, dad, sister, and I were able to all hang out together we deemed it family day and decided to have a nothing-but-fun day. We started out by going to lunch with my Uncle Bruce at a place called Hummels in Virginville, PA. I have been going there with my family since I was little so it was definitely a comforting meal. Afterwards we ventured to Lancaster to the American Music Theatre where we saw a tribute show to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Random, but fun. =]
We then wandered to the outlets across the street where I found a QVC store (as if my obsession with watching QVC wasn’t enough already) and ended the day with a trip to Friendly’s for dinner and some ice cream. We made the wait staff sing to my sister again because, well, you just can’t have too much birthday celebration.
